Mythical Creatures Parties

Vampires, Werewolves & other Mythical Creatures Birthday Parties!

Here’s what happens at our Mythical Creatures themed birthday parties

Our adventure begins in the deep, dark forests of Middle Earth where the children are invited to borrow a werewolf mask, vampire cape or elf ears. We need these to allow us to blend in with the mythical creatures we are about to visit as they need our help to save the world. The Elves look after all of the creatures and control the natural forces in middle earth and they have summoned us to bring together all of the other mythical creatures to fight the three deadly dragons who have stolen the magic rings of power. These rings control all of the elements of nature – earth, fire, wind and water and without them the sun will not shine, the rain will not fall, the wind will not blow and the plants will not grow. We need to get them back!

The elves, centaurs, unicorns and dwarves have already agreed to come together to fight, however the werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies and have refused to be around each other. This is because they don’t understand each other, so we’re going to help them see how amazing their differences are by doing different games and activities that show how brilliant each mythical creature is. By the end of the party we’ll be ready to join together to fight the three deadly dragons and restore the rings of power!

We begin with our werewolf games ‘follow the alpha’ and our ‘full moon freeze’ game to show the vampires how wonderful it is to be part of the pack, to howl and also to be so in tune with the moon. Following these games we get our bow and arrows out and the elves and centaurs show all of the other mythical creatures how to find danger and take care of it! It’s then time to reveal how the vampires’ skin glitters in the sunlight and we all get some vampire dust on our hair or skin to help show the vampires our respect! We then need to pass by the dwarf caves, however, being greedy and grumpy, they have only granted us passage when it’s not dinner time, so we need to ask them what time it is and run away from them if we pass at the wrong time!

Once we safely pass the dwarf caves it’s time for our ‘coffin freeze’ game where we learn how vampires sleep and then assume the coffin position as soon as the music stops! By this point, the werewolves and vampires have started to warm to each other but there is just one extra thing we need to do to prove to them that we’re stronger together. We grab our grownups and stand in groups with our own kind of creature. Every grownup holds a strength tester and we try to take it from them, however we struggle as the grownups are much stronger than us. We then mix around the room and stand with different mythical creatures. The power of friendship and togetherness takes over and after a few magic words we become much more powerful than the grownups and can easily take the power tester from them.

Now we’ve proved we’re stronger together we’re ready for the parcel of power, where everyone gets a treat and a magical necklace of power which will store their very own forest magic inside. Once we’re all wearing our necklaces of power we then begin our journey to the battlefield where we encounter the dragons and prepare to fight them for the magic rings or power. The weapons of choice are snowballs and we fight until real snow falls from the sky, the dragons are defeated and the rings are returned to the elves!

It’s then time for photos and Happy Birthday so we gather in front of the backdrop for group photos, bring out the cake and then everyone is invited for individual photos as well as photos with their grownups in the forest! If you add potions on, the potions will be made after the children have had their photos taken.

Personal touches can also be added to make the day even more special, e.g. favourite songs, introductions of special guests (e.g. a parent or friend dressed up as a superhero, animal or princess etc) or even games/activities created specifically to suit a favourite themed TV, book or film character.

We reserve the right to change or alter the activities described above if there are special requests incorporated or as new games/activities are created etc, however we will always have a call with the party organiser the week of the party to discuss this, agree the party flow and ensure the celebrations are extra special for the birthday boy or girl!

Magic Forest Potions

All of our parties have a themed magic potion option to add on which works fantastically instead of a party bag! The children will join forces with the mythical creatures to defeat the dragons and then they’ll receive their magic forest necklaces as their pass the parcel gift, along with a treat. Adding on the magic forest potion will allow them to create another themed gift to take home and remember their adventures!

Elf, Werewolf & Vampire dress-up

Most children love dressing up and we’ve got three options for them as part of the mythical creatures party! Our three main characters are elves, werewolves and vampires so the children are welcome to borrow a werewolf mask, a vampire cape of a pair of elf ears for the duration of the party and/or the photoshoot! Grownups are also welcome to borrow them for their photos too!

Birthday photoshoot

Our fabulous spooky forest themed backdrop/decor form the setting for the Mythical Creatures party and then truly immerse the children in the mythical creatures theme for a gorgeous photoshoot at the end. We encourage grownups to have photos in front of the backdrop with their little ones also so they get an extra special memory of the party, plus we do group photos and individual ones of each child.
