Party Animals is a fabulous celebration of all of the different animals and their environments throughout our wonderfully vibrant and diverse world. We begin our party by welcoming the children and discussing all different kinds of animals and their various habitats. We’ll advise them that a strange egg was discovered on the way to the party and that, on the advice of the Witch Doctor, Mrs Peach must assemble a team of brave explorers to travel the world, visit different environments and see if the egg opens. Only then will we know where the egg belongs and what kind of egg it is!
We begin with a couple of activities to prepare us to encounter and appreciate all different kinds of animals – the first is an animal quiz where the children jump up and shout out the names of the animals being described as soon as they figure it out from the clues given. We’ll then do some animal dancing where we select a different animal headband from the basket and do impressions of that animal, changing to a different animal every time the music pauses!
It’s then time to begin our magical adventures across the world. We sprinkle some magic fairy dust over each child to allow them to fly and once we’ve tested our magic flying powers it’s time for our journey over to Canada to check out the woodland habitat and see if the egg responds to the animals there. We listen to the animal noises from deep in the forest and identify the animals before a big brown bear sniffs us out! In order to stop him from eating us we collect lots of fish from the lake and feed the bear until he’s full up. He then wanders off into his cave for a sleep and we move onto our next country – America!
Our flight over North America takes us down to the swamps of Florida where we listen to and identify some of the animals you can hear from the boggy marshes. The egg doesn’t respond, however as we go to collect some fruit from the trees we’re confronted by a scary situation – a crocodile comes up from the swamp and will only let us past if we play ‘what time is it Mr Crocodile’! We manage to escape from him with all our fruit and it’s time to take flight on our way down to the jungle habitat of South America.
In the deep dark jungle of South America we hear and identify some of the amazing animals who live there, however we trek too far into the jungle and have to find our way back out by playing a game of limbo underneath the jungle vines to get to an area with enough space to take flight again! The egg hasn’t opened so we lift off up into the sky and across the Pacific Ocean to Australia!
We land on the beach and immediately listen out to hear and identify what animals are around us. As well as the animals on shore we hear noises made by some of the sea creatures and of course, we do the ever popular dance to Baby Shark, however even that doesn’t wake the egg and so we decide to move on to Asia.
In the rainforests of South East Asia we hear and identify many animal sounds including those of tigers, pandas and elephants. This is the corner of the world where Yoga and Thai Chi were created and so to honour these ancient practices and give the egg some time to open we do some yoga moves named after some of the animals we’re there to celebrate. Cat, cow, butterfly, frog and cobra help us to stretch out and feel zen, however the egg doesn’t open and so up we go again into the sky and onto our next destination.
We land in South Africa and listen out for the animals we might encounter in the hot, dry desert and identify some from the sounds we hear. The floor is so hot it feels like it’s burning so, to give the egg time to respond to the environment, we play a game of ‘the floor is lava’ but with an added surprise! We use our magic moon rocks to create a safe, cool space to jump onto when the floor turns to lava, however in the meantime we must run away from the cheetah who wants to bite our bums! After we manage to outrun the cheetah and the ground returns to normal it’s time to take the egg to our next location – Europe!
We arrive onto a lovely farm in France and set the egg down while we check out the lovely farm sounds and identify some of the animals. We’ve travelled far and wide and we’re feeling hungry so we decide to go into the farm garden and pick some vegetables, however we must be quick and collect them before the farmer catches us!
It’s then time to go home to the UK where we arrive and identify the sounds of pets we find in our homes.. and the egg finally starts making sounds! We call up the Witch Doctor who tells us it’s a magic egg and it must be close to something very special, so we go into the garden with the dogs and search out a magic parcel! Once we find it we get into a circle and it’s time to find out if the children have become real Animal Adventurers – if they have they will each receive a treat and their very own little animal to take home!
Group photos and happy birthday come next, followed by individual photos, photos with grownups and Party Animal potions if this is added on!
Our children’s parties really do make dreams come true. We sow the seed for imaginative play and creative learning that continues long after the party. Themed information is weaved into the content of each party by our children’s party entertainers to tease little minds into exploring the topic further and also to encourage positive behaviour such as kindness, curiosity and care for the planet.
